All students enrolled in an agriculture course are automatically Park Rapids FFA members: we encourage every student in our program to take advantage of the wide variety of opportunities that FFA offers at the local, regional, and state level! FFA equips students with the tools for future success, not only in the agriculture industry, but throughout whatever career path they choose! Please talk to Mr. Funk and Ms. Seibert for more information!

Mr. Stephen Funk
My wife and I are extremely excited to be here in Park Rapids! Moving back to the trees and lakes is "home" for me as a Sebeka High School graduate that grew up on a farm outside of Nimrod where we raised registered black angus cattle and also managed the land as a certified tree farm. Agriculture and teaching students are two of my passions, and I am excited to share them with my students here at PRHS. In my free time I enjoy camping, kayaking, hiking, skiing, fishing, hunting, and just about any other activity you can think of in the great outdoors.

Ms. Amber Seibert
I am so excited to be continuing my teaching career at Park Rapids! I am originally from the area: my parents have a dairy farm just east of Sebeka. I have also taught agriculture at Sauk Rapids-Rice and Fairmont. After years on the open prairies, I was ready to come home to the trees and lakes. When I'm not in my classroom, I try to go adventuring: I love hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and otherwise exploring the beauty of Minnesota. I'm a huge reader, and I cheer for the Golden Gophers (Ski-U-Mah!) and the Twins. I love teaching agriculture, and I'm looking forward to getting to know my students and the community!

Park Rapids has quickly become my family's home in the last few years, even though I grew up farming with my grandparents in central Minnesota. I chose to teach so I can share my passion for farming and the agriculture industry as a whole while offering tactical skills for students. I think it is vital that consumers know where their food comes from! Aside from teaching agriculture, you can often see me with our FFA chapter sharing that same passion!
Outside of the classroom and FFA, you can usually find me on my farm with my chickens, ducks, sheep, and cattle, in the flower field, or in the garden. When I'm not there, I am probably exploring our natural resources hunting, hiking, camping, or doing any other outdoor activity.
