Park Rapids Area High School Science

Science is the activity of finding facts and developing theories. This is ordinarily accomplished by observations, organization and interpretation. Science is often called “organized curiosity.” The observations are often made as part of a controlled sequence of activities which we call an experiment. We attempt to organize our science program with these concepts in the forefront of our thinking. In emphasizing the “inquiry” approach whenever possible we encourage the student to start in the laboratory and then organize and interpret the observations obtained. An understanding of science is essential if citizens are to make informed decisions concerning their current and future lifestyles.
