- Join Business Professionals of America (BPA)
- Participate in FFA (Future Farmers of America) or 4H
- Coach a youth sports team
- Work as a library ait
- Teach a community ed. class
- Tutor a family member or neighbor
- Volunteer at a literacy program
- Work as a TA (Teacher Assistant) at the school
- Student Council
- Speech or Debate
- Band or Choir
- Particpate in mock trail events
- Work as a page at the legislature
- Attend city council or other local government meetings
- Visit a local courthouse or public safety building
- Job shadow a state legislative representive
- Run for student government
- Volunteer in a soup kitchen or food shelf
- Provide child care
- Coordinate a school wide food and/or clothing drive
- Volunteer in a hospital or nursing home
- Intern at a nonprofit agency
- Learn a world language and study foreign cultures
