Juniors: Students will have the opportunity to take the ACT at PRAHS in the Spring of their junior year.
College Admissions Testing
ACT
Students who are planning to attend a four-year college should plan on taking the ACT test in the spring of their junior year. Seniors who are planning to attend a four-year college and still have not taken the test should take it as soon as possible in the fall. The writing and science portions of the exam are not required but are recommended. Students should check with the school they're applying to and see if they require those portions of the exam. Post-Secondary Option students should take the ACT test even though they are transferring college credits. The test schedule for the next school year is printed below. Registration for the ACT is online.

At the time of registration, you will need to pay the fees for the ACT. For the 2026-2027 academic year, the fees are as follows:
- $70.00 for the basic ACT (EMR). This fee includes score results for the student, the student's school, and four colleges.
- $25.00 for the Writing add-on
- $5.00 for the Science add-on
- $75.00 for EMR with Science
- $95.00 for EMR with Writing
- $100.00 for EMR with Science and Writing
- $36.00 additional fee if you register late
- $72.00 additional fee if you register late
- $20.00 for additional score reports
