The following scholarships are available to students in the region and Minnesota. Many can be completed online. Turn in your completed application to Mr. Sanford in the counseling office, unless otherwise stated.

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship- $1000- Many Awards

DEADLINE: June 7, 2024

The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.

Application Procedure for 2024

To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic below. The essay should be between 500 and 1000 words. Your submissions must be sent to us by email at:


Describe your educational career and life goals. Explain your plan for achieving these goals. Include your degree/major, why you selected it, and how this degree/major will help you achieve your goals.

Scholarship Criteria

Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.

Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.

You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

How to Apply

Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:

When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?

AgCountry Scholarships in Agriculture:

AgCountry offers scholarships for high school seniors entering college in the fall of 2024, as well as college upperclassmen pursuing ag careers.

AgCountry Farm Credit Services is offering scholarships for high school seniors entering college in the fall of 2023. Scholarship awards are $1,000 each.

Applicants must be from an actively farming or ranching family OR must be planning to pursue a career in farming or some other aspect of agriculture such as agricultural extension, agricultural education, soil conservation, farm and ranch management, agricultural finance, veterinary medicine or agribusiness.

Applicants must be residents of a county served by AgCountry in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

Selection is based on academic aptitude, vocational promise, personal attributes, leadership and financial need. Children of AgCountry FCS employees and Board Members are not eligible to apply.

Alan Peterson Agricultural  Scholarship

Up to 2 - $2,000

The Alan Peterson Agricultural Scholarship serves to respect  natural resources, embrace innovation, advocate agriculture  at the local, regional, and national levels, protect irrigated  production agriculture and promote research.

For a high school senior, college or  graduate student or non-traditional student  who is a resident of Minnesota who plans  to attend a 2 or 4 year college in an  agricultural related field of study. No GPA  requirement. Membership in 4-H, FFA, ag related clubs encouraged but not required.

American Legion Memorial Scholarship

Six $500 will be made for the school year in memory of past Department Commander Lyle C. Mikelson and others so memorialized.


The applicant must:

  • Be a child, grandchild, adopted child, or stepchild of an American Legion or American Legion Auxiliary member
  • Be a high school graduate
  • Be a student that shows qualities or initiative and desire
  • Be a student that is loyal to his/her country
  • Establish financial needs


  • High School or college transcripts must be included
  • Applicant should include a personal letter
  • Applicant should include at least 2 letters of recommendation
  • An American Legion Post Official must sign an application
  • Each American Legion scholarship application must be completed and submitted separately.

American Legion Foundation Scholarship

$500 Minnesota Legion Foundation Scholarship


  • shall be a veteran, a child of a veteran or a grandchild of a veteran
  • must meet the academic standards of the school he/she wishes to attend.
  • must have a good record of school and community citizenship
  • must have the desire to pursue an education beyond high school
  • Each American Legion scholarship application must be completed and submitted separately.

Bernick Family Scholarship

CommunityGiving/Central MN Community Foundation is excited to share that we are hosting the Bernick Family Scholarship.  The Bernick Family Scholarship was created to recognize the values of the Bernick family and their corporation, Bernick's.  The purpose of the fund is to recognize, assist and encourage high school seniors who are well-rounded individuals in their pursuit of advanced education.  Bernick's is awarding 10 scholarships for $2,000 each.  


  • High School Senior
  • Must live within Bernick service area (Park Rapids qualifies)
  • GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Planning to attend a two-year or four-year college (full-time enrollment)

Bill and Joyce Coborn Memorial Scholarship

For a high school senior, college or  graduate student that is a Coborn's  employee with one year of service or their  dependent (up to age 25). Student must  be a full-time student attending a private  high school or any technical, community or  4-year college, or pursuing a graduate level degree. Plans to attend or attending  a private high school or 2 or 4 year college.


The purpose of these scholarships is to assist Coborn's  employees and their dependents in their pursuit of a private  high school or post-secondary education. The scholarships  are named in memory of Bill and Joyce Coborn.

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program  

This year, the organization will be awarding 50 scholarships worth a total of up to $25,000

We encourage the following to apply.

  • High School Seniors and current undergraduates
  • Those who plan to enroll full time at a four-year college or university in 2022-23
  • Those who plan to major in a field of study that focuses on engineering, technology, or design, with an interest in the automotive industry.

Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship

The Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship, established by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, is a one-time award given to students who are in financial need and have been accepted into an accredited school of nursing.  The scholarship is in the amount of $2,500.

Children of Warriors National Scholarship- $5,000- 15 Awards

To be eligible, students must:

1) Be daughters, sons, grandsons, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, great-grandsons of veterans who served in the Armed Forces

2) Excel in academics at school and participate in volunteer activities outside of school

Coast Guard Exchange Scholarship Program- $2,000- 20 Awards


To be eligible you must:

1) Be in the last year of high school and scheduled to attend college full-time during the subsequent year

2) Be a dependent of a Coast Guard active duty, reserve, current civilian NAF and APF employees, or current Coast Guard Auxiliaryists

Community Impact Scholarships- $2,500- 2 Awards


To be eligible, students must:

1) Demonstrate active involvement in community service and strong leadership skills

CommunityGiving Scholarships- Awards Vary  Students are able to use the internal search function to assist them in finding the scholarships which will be available to them.


They OPEN December 1 and CLOSE March 1 each year.

DAV Scholarships- $30,000


  • Scholarships can be awarded to any volunteer who is age 21 or younger and has volunteered for a minimum of 100 hours through DAV or DAV Auxiliary.
  • Volunteer hours can be accumulated at a VA medical center, and/or the Local Veterans Assistance Program (LVAP). Hours must be credited to Disabled American Veterans.
  • Scholarships can be used at any accredited institution of higher learning; to include universities, colleges, community colleges, vocational schools, etc.
  • Scholarships must be utilized in full prior to the recipient attaining the age of 25, or within 6 years of receiving the scholarship, whichever is later.
  • Nominations for this award may be submitted by the applicant, Voluntary Service Program Managers at VA medical centers, members of DAV departments and chapters, or friends and family.

Discover The Difference National Academic Scholarships- $5,000- 1 Award


To be eligible, students must:

1) Be a high school senior or college student pursuing an AA, Bachelor's or Master's degree

2) Have a minimun GPA of 3.0

Experimental Aircraft Association Scholarships- $5,000- 2- Awards


To be eligible, students must:

1) Be 16 years old

2) Be planning to take one of the following: aerospace engineering, aviation business administration, air traffic control, aviation maintenance, professional flight, or any aviation related STEM field

Farm Credit Services - Scholarship in Agriculture

The Farm Credit Services association in the North Dakota area offers scholarships for high school seniors entering college in the fall of 2023.  Scholarship awards are $1,000 each.


  • Applicants must be from an actively farming or ranching family or planning to pursue a career in farming or some aspect of agriculture extension, ag education, soil conservation, farm and ranch management, ag finance, veterinary medicine or agri-business.
  • must be a resident of MN counties listed on the application --- including but not limited to Becker, Hubbard, OtterTail, Wadena

Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Scholarship

 One $2000 scholarship will be awarded per geographic region of the NTCA membership, with an additional $500 match from Arvig Communications. To be eligible students must:

  • Be accepted into a 2 or 4 year college, university or vocational-technical school
  • Be sponsored by a current NTCA member (Arvig)
  • Have at least a C grade point average (2.0 GPA)
  • Express an interest to return to a rural community following graduation.
  • Applicant's family must subscribe to at least one service from Arvig.
  • Be Graduating High School Senior

Scholarship applications must be received by the Arvig Corporate Office, Attention:  Josie Winkels, 150 2nd Street SW, Perham MN, 56573.   Accepted applications will then be forwarded by Arvig to FRS for final selection process on February 21.

GROW Ag Leaders Scholarship 

America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, is giving students pursuing ag-related degrees the change to earn a $1,500 scholarship.  Grow Ag Leaders scholarships are administered by the National FFA Organization as part of the National FFA Scholarship Program.  ALL interested students must have a account to access the application.  

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a high school senior
  • Plan to pursue a degree or certification in specific areas of agriculture or chemical/electrical/mechanical engineering.  
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Obtain two farmer endorsements - visit for complete guidelines.   
  • Student does NOT need to be an FFA member
  • Student does NOT have to live in same county as farmer(s) who endorses them.

Horatio Alger Association- From $10,000-$25,000- Many Awards

To be eligible, a student must:

1) Be a high school junior or senior

2) Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income)

3) Be a U.S. citizen

National and State Scholarships will be awarded to JUNIORS (Class of 2025).  Two MN juniors will be selected for National Scholarships of $25,000 (plus an all-expense paid trip for a National Scholars Conference in Washington, D.C. in spring of 2025). Ten MN juniors will be awarded State Scholarships of $10,000. The application period is Dec. 1, 2023 - March 15, 2024. 


For SENIORS (Class of 2024) who would benefit from a HAA Scholarship, there are "Targeted Scholarships" available.  The Denny Sanford Scholarship is especially attractive to MN students because there are up to ten $10,000 scholarships for students who plan to attend the Univ. of MN Twin Cities. 

Eligibility criteria for Horatio Alger Scholarships include

  • Be enrolled full time as a high school junior or senior (dependent upon scholarship type). 
  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity. 
  • Desire to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution).  
  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities.  
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. 
  • Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required).  
  • Be a United States citizen.

Information Security Undergraduate Scholarship- $5,000


  • Must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance or similar field in the fall of 2023.
  • You may be a senior in high school, an undergraduate student, graduate or post graduate student to be eligible.
  • If you will have graduated with your undergraduate degree by the fall then please apply for the (ISC)² Graduate Scholarship if appropriate.
  • GPA must be at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale

Jody Daman Memorial Scholarship

The Jody Daman Memorial Scholarship was established in 2001, following the death of our staff member, Jody Kininger Daman, who passed away March 7, 2001.  This $500 award is available to high school seniors who are patients or former patients of Dr. Bret Cooper, and who have plans of furthering their education following high school graduation.  Students who fit this criteria are encouraged to apply.

  • The students will have graduated from high school in the year of the award application, with intent to continue their education.
  • The student may apply by writing a short essay containing information about their interests, educational goals, and why they should be considered for this award.
  • This award is for students who are or were orthodontic patients of Dr. Bret E. Cooper of Bemidji Orthodontics.

Kern Scholarship- $1,500- 2 Awards

To be eligible you must:

1) Be a Minnesota 4-H member or alumni who will be entering their freshman year at a school in the University of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System (Minnesota State) or University of Minnesota campus.

2) Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better

MBA Scholarship Program

The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Benefit Association is please to announce it 57th Annual Scholarship Awards Program.  The Program offers financial assistance for post-secondary education and is open to high school graduate or any currently enrolled post-secondary student. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:  Must be a public or school district employee or elected official in Minnesota, or the child of a public or school district employee or elected official in Minnesota. Minnesota Assocation of Townships- FIVE total scholarships of $2000 each to be awarded!  

The Minnesota Association of Townships (MAT) is proud to offer a township scholarship program for high school Juniors in the state of Minnesota. Up to FIVE $2,000 scholarships will be awarded.

Applicants must complete an application form and submit it along with a written essay using critical thinking discussing this year’s topic.

2023 Essay Topic: Promoting Township Government.



All students currently enrolled in the 11th grade and attending a Minnesota public, private, or parochial high school or a home study program and who plan to further their education at a college, university, or vocational school are eligible for this program.

Along with the completed application and written essay, students must submit a current high school transcript and a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or counselor. All items must be submitted in one envelope and mailed to:

Minnesota Athletes in Sports Medicine Scholarships

Sports and Orthopedic Specialists is proud to continue its effort to advance sports medicine and orthopaedic care throughout Minnesota with the 9th Annual Minnesota Athletes in Sports Medicine scholarship for student athletes. We are excited to continue offering this award as exemplification of our commitment to provide unsurpassed patient care and community education.

Sports and Orthopedic Specialists and Allina Health Minnesota Athletes in Sports Medicine Scholarship

This $2,500 scholarship will be awarded annually to one male student athlete who intends to attend college to pursue a career in sports medicine.

  1. Graduating high school senior male from the state of Minnesota.

  2. Planning on attending a four-year college or university within the United States.

  3. Involved in an interscholastic sport each of their 4 years in high school.

  4. Intending to major in a field related to sports medicine.

    Minnesota Association of Townships Scholarship - GRADE 11 only

Our association is proud to announce the Minnesota Association of Townships Scholarship Program awarding up to six $1,000 scholarships. 


  • All students currently enrolled in the 11th grade and attending a Minnesota public, private, or parochial high school or home study program are eligible for this program. 
  • Winners will be chosen based on a written essay. 


Minnesota Farmers Union Scholarship 

$500 Scholarship 


  • Applicants must be completing their final term or have completed their final term of their senior year in high school or be a nontraditional student currently enrolled in a college program of study.
  • Applicants must have plans to attend or be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution (technical or trade schools, community colleges, state universities or private institutions).
  • Applicant must be planning on, or already enrolled in an agriculture related field of study.
  • Applicant and/or applicant’s family must be a Minnesota Farmers Union member.

Minnesota Football Coaches Association Scholarship

The Minnesota High School Football Coaches Association will be awarding sixteen $500 scholarships to students who are currently enrolled in a Minnesota High School and are members of their high school football team.  


  • Applicant must plan to be enrolled in college for the 2019-2020 academic year.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.  Student transcript must accompany the application.
  • Student must write a 250 word essay that describes how the sport of football has impacted their life.
  • Essay must be typed.
  • Application must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation from high school faculty members familiar with the student's academic and extra-curriculuar achievements. 
  • Head Football Coach must be a member or MHSFCA.

Minnesota Future Together Grants

A new grant program offering tuition-free pathways for students in high-need career areas

We know that obtaining a college credential is critical for future career opportunities and total life-time earnings. Unfortunately, too often the cost of college can be a barrier for many Minnesotans
Enter the Minnesota Future Together Grants.
This new program will provide eligible Minnesotans with a tuition-free pathway for earning a certificate, diploma, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree at any public institution in the state. The grants are available starting spring 2022 through 2024 OR until all funds are dispensed, whichever comes first.

Who is eligible?

If you meet the following criteria, you may be eligible for a Minnesota Future Together Grant:

  • You are a Minnesota resident, including students who apply for state financial aid via the MN Dream Act Application
  • You are attending a public higher education institution or Tribal College, this includes:
  • You first enrolled during the 2021-22 or 2022-23 school year OR you are returning to college and have not been enrolled at any college in the last three semesters
  • You are enrolled as a degree-seeking student in a program that leads to a career in one of the following high-need areas (Note: Specific programs will vary by campus, contact your college to confirm eligibility):
    • Healthcare: High-need programs on your campus may include nursing, medical assisting, surgical technicians, healthcare social workers, EMTs, paramedics, dental assistants, dental hygienists, and substance abuse and mental health counselors.
    • STEM: High-need programs on your campus may include software development, software analysts, engineers, web developers, statisticians, and agricultural workers.
    • Business: High-need programs on your campus may include accounting, financial management, auditors, human resource managers, bankers, and project managers.
    • Industry and Technology: High-need programs on your campus may include machine tool technologists, operations managers, HVAC technicians, front line supervisors, plumbers, construction managers, electricians/electrical line workers, heavy duty mechanics, welders, automotive service technicians, and auto body technicians.
    • Education: High-need programs on your campus may include early childhood educators, childcare workers, school counselors and social workers
    • Public service: High-need programs on your campus may include law enforcement officers, probation officers, firefighters, and public administration
  • You meet all standard eligibility requirements for Minnesota Office of Higher Education programs including, but not limited to: Not in default on a state or federal student loan, Not on a SAP/FA suspension, and Not have already earned a baccalaureate degree
  • You meet ONE of the following requirements:
    • Have a Family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) reported on FAFSA or State Aid Application of less than $100,000 and have worked in a critical industry listed in Executive Order 20- 74 at least part-time between March 1, 2020 - December 31, 2021; OR received unemployment benefits between March 1, 2020 - December 31, 2021; OR
    • Have a Family AGI reported on FAFSA or State Aid Application less than $50,000

I’m eligible, what now?

If you answered yes to all of the criteria above, you may be eligible for a Minnesota Future Together Grant. Here are two easy steps to ensure you do not miss out on this exciting, tuition-free opportunity:

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form OR Minnesota Dream Act Application if you haven’t already done so for the 2021-2022 school year. Completing the applicable form will serve as the application for receiving a Minnesota Future Together Grant, as well as other grants and financial aid resources. Access the FAFSA form. Access the Minnesota Dream Act Application.
  • If you receive a Minnesota Future Together Grant, your college will contact you. They may also follow up with additional questions to determine your eligibility.

MN State Coaches Association Scholarship

The Minnesota State High School Coaches Association will again be awarding $1000 scholarships to deserving student-athletes from Minnesota High Schools. The number of scholarships to be granted will be determined at a later date with consideration given to the state of the budget for the upcoming year.

Announcement of the winners will appear in the May issue of the Minnesota Prep Coach and in time for announcements at spring graduation ceremonies.

The limited selection criteria includes the following:


  • Must have a GPA that would equate with an honor student.
  • Must be a child or Grandchild of a lifetime member of the Minnesota Coach's association.
  • Applicant must have participated in High School Athletics through their 12th grade year.
  • Submit a one page letter outlining the role sports has played in your life.
  • Submit a letter of recognition from one of your coaches
  • Submit a letter of thanks to the MSHSCA upon notification of the scholarship award.

Minnesota Indian Scholarship

Scholarships are available to students who:

  • Are one-fourth or more American Indian ancestry OR an enrolled member or citizen of a federally-recognized American Indian tribe or Canadian First Nation
  • Are a Minnesota resident
  • Apply for other existing state and federal scholarships and grant programs
  • Enroll at least ¾ time as an undergraduate OR ½ time as a graduate student in an education program leading to a certificate, diploma, or degree at an accredited postsecondary institution in Minnesota
  • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Are not in default on a federal or state student loan or, if in default, have regained eligibility for federal or state student aid
  • Qualify for either a Pell or State Grant and demonstrate financial need as an undergraduate student or demonstrate financial need as a graduate student.

How Much Money Can You Get?

The annual award amount is up to $4,000 per academic year for undergraduate students and up to $6,000 per academic year for graduate students.

Minnesota Territorial Pioneers Scholarship 

Each year the Minnesota Territorial Pioneers awards a scholarship for use at an accredited college within the boundaries of the original Minnesota Territory.


  • Must be a high school senior. 
  • Show proof of acceptance by an accredited junior or academic college or university located within the original boundaries of the Minnesota Territory.
  • Membership in MTP is NOT required. 
  • The applicant must complete a 750-2000 word essay

Minnesota Women's Golf Association (MWGA) Foundation Scholarship

The Minnesota Women's Golf Association is awarding a scholarship in the amount of $12,000 ($3,000 per year) to senior girls residing in Minnesota and planning to enroll in a four year college program the year this application is submitted.  The scholarship is awarded on the basis of scholastic rating, financial need, and school achievements, leadership, and activities. Although skill or excellence in the game of golf is not a criterion, candidates must be participants of the school's golf team.  

The applicant must have the following credentials to apply:

  • Grade point average of 3.2 or above
  • Have a copy of the submitted FAFSA form included with application (showing parents income level for the past year)

MRCA (Minnesota Resort & Campground Association)

The MRCA will again award six scholarships totaling $4,000 this year.  The maximum individual scholarship will be $1,000.  The scholarship program is open to the children of MRCA members as well as other students employed or otherwise connected with the member's resort and/or campground business. 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant may be a child of an owner/operator of a Minnesota resort and/or campground business
  • Applicant may be recommended as a scholarship candidate by an owner/operator of a Minnesota resort and/or campground business
  • Said resort and/or campground business must be a member in good standing of the MRCA 
  • Applicant must be pursuing a degree full time (defined as a minimum of nine credit hours per term) at an accredited post-secondary institution. 

Selection Criteria

  • Applicant must have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application. The student’s most recent secondary or post-secondary class transcript is required to be submitted with the application.

National Jewish Committee Eagle Scout Scholarship- $3,000- 4 Awards

1) Be an active member of a synagogue and possess the Ner Tamid or Etz Chaim religious emblem

NIAAA Student Athlete Scholarship 

The NIAAA Scholarship program fosters and recognizes the partnership between the NIAAA and secondary education.  The scholarships will recognize the distinguished scholastic, leadership, and sportsmanship attributes of high school student-athletes and the importance of high school athletics in each student's life.  

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a high school senior.
  • Applicant must have achieved at least two of the following: (a) Minimum GPA of 3.3 (b) Ranked in top 25% of class (c) Minimum ACT score of 24.
  • Applicant must have participated in at least two sports for two years each.  
  • Applicant must have lettered in two different sports.  
  • Applicant must complete attached scholar/essay application.
  • Applicant must have a letter of recommendation from the high school's athletic director (Mr. Nordick).  
  • Athletic Director must be a member of NIAAA and their own state association

Niche 2K No Essay College Scholarship- $2,000

How It Works

The $2,000 "No Essay" Scholarship is an easy scholarship with no essay required! The scholarship can be used to cover tuition, housing, books, or any education-related expenses. The monthly winner will be determined by random drawing and then contacted directly and announced in Niche's e-newsletter and on the Scholarship Winners page. You can apply once each month, with a new winner selected every month.

Northwest MN Women's Scholarship Fund

4 $500 Scholarships 

This scholarship supports women who reside within the 12 counties of the region, who are pursing a degree at one of the region's public higher learning institutions (BSU, Northwest Technical College, Northland Community and Technical College, University of MN Crookston, & White Earth Community College).

Eligibility requirements:

  • The female student must reside in Hubbard County
  • The female student must intend to pursue postsecondary education at one of the institutions listed above.
  • Scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and books or direct educational material.

Paul Bunyan Communications Scholarships-

You or family member must be a Paul Bunyan Communications (PBC) Cooperative to apply.

Minnesota Telecom Alliance Foundation Scholarship

Paul Bunyan Communications participates in the MTA’s scholarship program which awards five $2,000 scholarships to Minnesota high school seniors each year.

The application can be downloaded at and must be turned in to Paul Bunyan Communications no later than February 17, 2024.

A telecom alliance panel reviews each application and selects the finalists based on applicants’ grades, academic achievements and extra-curricular activities.  Preference to receive the scholarships is given to students who have an interest in telecommunications technology and rural communities.

The Foundation is part of the Minnesota Telecom Alliance, a trade organization representing 86 telephone companies and cooperatives in the state.

Foundation for Rural Service Scholarship

Paul Bunyan Communications participates in the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) scholarship program which awards 30 $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors throughout the country each year.

SFM Foundation

SFM Foundation is a nonprofit foundation offering college scholarships to children of parents who have been killed or injured on the job. 

SFM Foundation scholarships may be used toward the costs of attending a two-year or four-year university, college, vocational school or graduate school. To qualify, students must have a parent who was disabled or fatally injured while working for Minnesota or Iowa employers. Scholarships are awarded up to a maximum of $15,000 a year.

White Earth Scholarship Program

All applications must:

Bemidji State STEM Scholarship Program 

The STEM Scholars Program at Bemidji State University provides scholarships of up to $15,000 a year toward the full cost of attendance (tuition, fees, books, housing, meals, and other expenses), access to a supportive network of peers and faculty, and the opportunity to participate in a STEM living-learning community.  Academically promising students with financial need who are pursuing STEM degrees are eligible.
