AgCountry Scholarships in Agriculture:
AgCountry offers scholarships for high school seniors entering college in the fall of 2024, as well as college upperclassmen pursuing ag careers.
AgCountry Farm Credit Services is offering scholarships for high school seniors entering college in the fall of 2023. Scholarship awards are $1,000 each.
Applicants must be from an actively farming or ranching family OR must be planning to pursue a career in farming or some other aspect of agriculture such as agricultural extension, agricultural education, soil conservation, farm and ranch management, agricultural finance, veterinary medicine or agribusiness.
Applicants must be residents of a county served by AgCountry in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.
Selection is based on academic aptitude, vocational promise, personal attributes, leadership and financial need. Children of AgCountry FCS employees and Board Members are not eligible to apply.

Alan Peterson Agricultural Scholarship
Up to 2 - $2,000
The Alan Peterson Agricultural Scholarship serves to respect natural resources, embrace innovation, advocate agriculture at the local, regional, and national levels, protect irrigated production agriculture and promote research.
For a high school senior, college or graduate student or non-traditional student who is a resident of Minnesota who plans to attend a 2 or 4 year college in an agricultural related field of study. No GPA requirement. Membership in 4-H, FFA, ag related clubs encouraged but not required.

GROW Ag Leaders Scholarship
America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, is giving students pursuing ag-related degrees the change to earn a $1,500 scholarship. Grow Ag Leaders scholarships are administered by the National FFA Organization as part of the National FFA Scholarship Program. ALL interested students must have a FFA.org account to access the application.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a high school senior
- Plan to pursue a degree or certification in specific areas of agriculture or chemical/electrical/mechanical engineering.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5

American Indian
Minnesota Indian Scholarship
Scholarships are available to students who:
- Are one-fourth or more American Indian ancestry OR an enrolled member or citizen of a federally-recognized American Indian tribe or Canadian First Nation
- Are a Minnesota resident
- Apply for other existing state and federal scholarships and grant programs
- Enroll at least ¾ time as an undergraduate OR ½ time as a graduate student in an education program leading to a certificate, diploma, or degree at an accredited postsecondary institution in Minnesota
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Are not in default on a federal or state student loan or, if in default, have regained eligibility for federal or state student aid
- Qualify for either a Pell or State Grant and demonstrate financial need as an undergraduate student or demonstrate financial need as a graduate student.
How Much Money Can You Get?
The annual award amount is up to $4,000 per academic year for undergraduate students and up to $6,000 per academic year for graduate students.

White Earth Scholarship Program
All applications must:

The White Earth Scholarship Program is an incentive-based program. Your post-secondary institution’s financial aid office may determine your award based upon results of your completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA completion is a REQUIREMENT for consideration for a White Earth Scholarship award. No Exceptions will be made.

Minnesota Football Coaches Association Scholarship
The Minnesota High School Football Coaches Association will be awarding sixteen $500 scholarships to students who are currently enrolled in a Minnesota High School and are members of their high school football team.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must plan to be enrolled in college for the 2019-2020 academic year.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. Student transcript must accompany the application.
- Student must write a 250 word essay that describes how the sport of football has impacted their life.
- Essay must be typed.
- Application must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation from high school faculty members familiar with the student's academic and extra-curriculuar achievements.
- Head Football Coach must be a member or MHSFCA.

MN State Coaches Association Scholarship
The Minnesota State High School Coaches Association will again be awarding $1000 scholarships to deserving student-athletes from Minnesota High Schools. The number of scholarships to be granted will be determined at a later date with consideration given to the state of the budget for the upcoming year.
Announcement of the winners will appear in the May issue of the Minnesota Prep Coach and in time for announcements at spring graduation ceremonies.
The limited selection criteria includes the following:
- Must have a GPA that would equate with an honor student.
- Must be a child or Grandchild of a lifetime member of the Minnesota Coach's association.
- Applicant must have participated in High School Athletics through their 12th grade year.
- Submit a one page letter outlining the role sports has played in your life.
- Submit a letter of recognition from one of your coaches
- Submit a letter of thanks to the MSHSCA upon notification of the scholarship award.

Minnesota Women's Golf Association (MWGA) Foundation Scholarship
The Minnesota Women's Golf Association is awarding a scholarship in the amount of $12,000 ($3,000 per year) to senior girls residing in Minnesota and planning to enroll in a four year college program the year this application is submitted. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of scholastic rating, financial need, and school achievements, leadership, and activities. Although skill or excellence in the game of golf is not a criterion, candidates must be participants of the school's golf team.
The applicant must have the following credentials to apply:
- Grade point average of 3.2 or above
- Have a copy of the submitted FAFSA form included with application (showing parents income level for the past year)

NIAAA Student Athlete Scholarship
The NIAAA Scholarship program fosters and recognizes the partnership between the NIAAA and secondary education. The scholarships will recognize the distinguished scholastic, leadership, and sportsmanship attributes of high school student-athletes and the importance of high school athletics in each student's life.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be a high school senior.
- Applicant must have achieved at least two of the following: (a) Minimum GPA of 3.3 (b) Ranked in top 25% of class (c) Minimum ACT score of 24.
- Applicant must have participated in at least two sports for two years each.

Scholarship Criteria
Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.
Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.
You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
How to Apply
Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:

Bernick Family Scholarship
CommunityGiving/Central MN Community Foundation is excited to share that we are hosting the Bernick Family Scholarship. The Bernick Family Scholarship was created to recognize the values of the Bernick family and their corporation, Bernick's. The purpose of the fund is to recognize, assist and encourage high school seniors who are well-rounded individuals in their pursuit of advanced education. Bill and Joyce Coborn Memorial Scholarship
For a high school senior, college or graduate student that is a Coborn's employee with one year of service or their dependent (up to age 25). Student must be a full-time student attending a private high school or any technical, community or 4-year college, or pursuing a graduate level degree. Plans to attend or attending a private high school or 2 or 4 year college.
The purpose of these scholarships is to assist Coborn's employees and their dependents in their pursuit of a private high school or post-secondary education. The scholarships are named in memory of Bill and Joyce Coborn.

Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Scholarship
One $2000 scholarship will be awarded per geographic region of the NTCA membership, with an additional $500 match from Arvig Communications. To be eligible students must:
- Be accepted into a 2 or 4 year college, university or vocational-technical school
- Be sponsored by a current NTCA member (Arvig)
- Have at least a C grade point average (2.0 GPA)
- Express an interest to return to a rural community following graduation.

Bemidji Orthodontics: Jody Daman Memorial Scholarship
The Jody Daman Memorial Scholarship was established in 2001, following the death of our staff member, Jody Kininger Daman, who passed away March 7, 2001. This $500 award is available to high school seniors who are patients or former patients of Dr. Bret Cooper, and who have plans of furthering their education following high school graduation. Students who fit this criteria are encouraged to apply.
- The students will have graduated from high school in the year of the award application, with intent to continue their education.
- The student may apply by writing a short essay containing information about their interests, educational goals, and why they should be considered for this award.
- This award is for students who are or were orthodontic patients of Dr. Bret E. Cooper of Bemidji Orthodontics.

MRCA (Minnesota Resort & Campground Association)
The MRCA will again award six scholarships totaling $4,000 this year. The maximum individual scholarship will be $1,000. The scholarship program is open to the children of MRCA members as well as other students employed or otherwise connected with the member's resort and/or campground business.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant may be a child of an owner/operator of a Minnesota resort and/or campground business
- Applicant may be recommended as a scholarship candidate by an owner/operator of a Minnesota resort and/or campground business
- Said resort and/or campground business must be a member in good standing of the MRCA
- Applicant must be pursuing a degree full time (defined as a minimum of nine credit hours per term) at an accredited post-secondary institution.
Selection Criteria
- Applicant must have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application. The student’s most recent secondary or post-secondary class transcript is required to be submitted with the application.
- Applicant is required to submit a 250–500 word essay on the topic “My Experience with a Minnesota Resort and/or Campground.” Please address the following:
- Your connection with the business.
- How this relationship has shaped your values and work ethic.
- How this experience has influenced your future plans.
- Additional relevant information you would like to share with the committee.
- Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation. Copies are acceptable.
- Consideration will be given to the applicants extra-curricular activities and interests.
- Preference may be given to applicants who aspire to careers in the resort and campground business.

Minnesota Telecom Alliance Foundation Scholarship
Paul Bunyan Communications participates in the MTA’s scholarship program which awards five $2,000 scholarships to Minnesota high school seniors each year.

A telecom alliance panel reviews each application and selects the finalists based on applicants’ grades, academic achievements and extra-curricular activities. Preference to receive the scholarships is given to students who have an interest in telecommunications technology and rural communities.
The Foundation is part of the Minnesota Telecom Alliance, a trade organization representing 86 telephone companies and cooperatives in the state.
Foundation for Rural Service Scholarship
Paul Bunyan Communications participates in the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) scholarship program which awards 30 $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors throughout the country each year.

National and State Scholarships will be awarded to JUNIORS (Class of 2025). Two MN juniors will be selected for National Scholarships of $25,000 (plus an all-expense paid trip for a National Scholars Conference in Washington, D.C. in spring of 2025). Ten MN juniors will be awarded State Scholarships of $10,000. The application period is Dec. 1, 2023 - March 15, 2024.
For SENIORS (Class of 2024) who would benefit from a HAA Scholarship, there are "Targeted Scholarships" available. The Denny Sanford Scholarship is especially attractive to MN students because there are up to ten $10,000 scholarships for students who plan to attend the Univ. of MN Twin Cities.
Eligibility criteria for Horatio Alger Scholarships include:
- Be enrolled full time as a high school junior or senior (dependent upon scholarship type).
- Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity.
- Desire to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution).
- Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Minnesota Future Together Grants
A new grant program offering tuition-free pathways for students in high-need career areas
We know that obtaining a college credential is critical for future career opportunities and total life-time earnings. Unfortunately, too often the cost of college can be a barrier for many Minnesotans
Enter the Minnesota Future Together Grants.
This new program will provide eligible Minnesotans with a tuition-free pathway for earning a certificate, diploma, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree at any public institution in the state. The grants are available starting spring 2022 through 2024 OR until all funds are dispensed, whichever comes first.
Who is eligible?
If you meet the following criteria, you may be eligible for a Minnesota Future Together Grant:
- You are a Minnesota resident, including students who apply for state financial aid via the MN Dream Act Application
- You are attending a public higher education institution or Tribal College, this includes:
- All Minnesota State colleges and universities (See a list of Minnesota State campuses)
- All University of Minnesota campuses (See a list of all UMN campuses)
- You first enrolled during the 2021-22 or 2022-23 school year OR you are returning to college and have not been enrolled at any college in the last three semesters
- You are enrolled as a degree-seeking student in a program that leads to a career in one of the following high-need areas (Note: Specific programs will vary by campus, contact your college to confirm eligibility):
- Healthcare: High-need programs on your campus may include nursing, medical assisting, surgical technicians, healthcare social workers, EMTs, paramedics, dental assistants, dental hygienists, and substance abuse and mental health counselors.

- Industry and Technology: High-need programs on your campus may include machine tool technologists, operations managers, HVAC technicians, front line supervisors, plumbers, construction managers, electricians/electrical line workers, heavy duty mechanics, welders, automotive service technicians, and auto body technicians.
- Education: High-need programs on your campus may include early childhood educators, childcare workers, school counselors and social workers
- Public service: High-need programs on your campus may include law enforcement officers, probation officers, firefighters, and public administration
- You meet all standard eligibility requirements for Minnesota Office of Higher Education programs including, but not limited to: Not in default on a state or federal student loan, Not on a SAP/FA suspension, and Not have already earned a baccalaureate degree
- You meet ONE of the following requirements:
- Have a Family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) reported on FAFSA or State Aid Application of less than $100,000 and have worked in a critical industry listed in Executive Order 20- 74 at least part-time between March 1, 2020 - December 31, 2021; OR received unemployment benefits between March 1, 2020 - December 31, 2021; OR
- Have a Family AGI reported on FAFSA or State Aid Application less than $50,000

The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Benefit Association is please to announce it 57th Annual Scholarship Awards Program. Minnesota Assocation of Townships- FIVE total scholarships of $2000 each to be awarded!
The Minnesota Association of Townships (MAT) is proud to offer a township scholarship program for high school Juniors in the state of Minnesota. Up to FIVE $2,000 scholarships will be awarded.

Six $500 will be made for the school year in memory of past Department Commander Lyle C. Mikelson and others so memorialized.

DAV Scholarships- $30,000
Eligibility
- Scholarships can be awarded to any volunteer who is age 21 or younger and has volunteered for a minimum of 100 hours through DAV or DAV Auxiliary.
- Volunteer hours can be accumulated at a VA medical center, and/or the Local Veterans Assistance Program (LVAP). Hours must be credited to Disabled American Veterans.
- Scholarships can be used at any accredited institution of higher learning; to include universities, colleges, community colleges, vocational schools, etc.
- Scholarships must be utilized in full prior to the recipient attaining the age of 25, or within 6 years of receiving the scholarship, whichever is later.

SFM Foundation
SFM Foundation is a nonprofit foundation offering college scholarships to children of parents who have been killed or injured on the job.
SFM Foundation scholarships may be used toward the costs of attending a two-year or four-year university, college, vocational school or graduate school. To qualify, students must have a parent who was disabled or fatally injured while working for Minnesota or Iowa employers. Scholarships are awarded up to a maximum of $15,000 a year.

Bemidji State STEM Scholarship Program
